ABOUT ME
“A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…”
When I was an innocent kid, at the age of 5, my parents made the huge mistake of letting me watch Star Wars - The Return of the Jedi.
You know, usually children dream to become astronauts (at least for my generation, maybe today they want to become YouTubers) but I wanted to become a director. And you could think that there’s nothing wrong with that, just another kid’s dream, except the fact that I asked my parents to buy me a real camera and I forced the other children from my class to take part in my crazy project: shooting the sequel of The Last Jedi!
It’s not a joke, I even wrote a 10 page script (yes, J.J. Abrams could have taken inspiration for The Force Awakens), built spaceships and robots with cardboard, and we met every Sunday to rehearse.

"GOD OF ROCK, THANK YOU FOR THIS CHANCE TO KICK ASS"
I was 11 when my big brother, who was 12, came to me and told me “listen to this”. He put his walkman headphone on my ears and It’s my life by Bon Jovi shouted from the speakers. From that moment our life changed, we started to save money to buy all the rock n roll CDs we could afford from the local CD shop.
My brother started to sing and in a few months we had our very own band. Since then we never stopped playing and composing our own songs.
I have never turned my back on my rock n roll origin or my brother and today we keep on playing around the world with our band WakeUpCall.
And in 2017 my dream to mash up rock music with classical music came true when, in collaboration with Made in Tomorrow, we realized “If Beethoven Was a Punk”, a multimedia Rock Opera, winner of the SIAE special prize “SILLUMINA”.
CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND
The dream of becoming a director quickly passed away leaving space to many others dreams like being an actor, secret agent, mechanic, football player, etc. etc… musician. My love for music wasn’t so strong at that time. We had a toy drum kit in our home and when I was 10 I enjoyed destroying my parents’ ears while my brother sang and my sister played other toy instruments.
Finally, one day, I was in a café and I found a classical guitar in a corner, I tried to play it and I simply decided that I wanted to understand how the hell I could let a decent sound come out from that instrument. My mom was happy that I asked her to start taking guitar lessons instead of buying a real, much noisier, drums.
“Red Pill or Blue Pill”
When I was a teenager I knew that I needed to study a lot to become the fastest guitar player in the world. So I started to go to Conservatorio when I was in high school. I remember that I used to spend my summer holidays studying for music exams while my friends hung out.
I had to decide, do I choose a normal life or do I become the outsider? I chose the Red Pill and after years of sacrifices and hours of studying I finished my classical studies in 2013 with the highest mark and a Master’s Degree in Classical Guitar.
The World Is Not Enough
I have always loved watching films. So it was inevitable that sooner or later cinema and music collided in my life.
Soon after my degree I started to take composition lesson with Massimiliano Gagliardi and he opened my eyes on the wonderful world of soundtracks.
Soon I started working on small projects and nowadays I can count on a strong portfolio of short movies, documentaries, adverts, jingles, animated movies, and musicals.
“It’s never too late”
In 2020, at the young age of 31, I moved to London to study the Master’s in Composition for Screen programme at Royal College of Music.
Even though I’ve started working on various international collaborations, I’ve still kept working in my country, where I’ve taken part in high level theatre productions including The Wizard of Oz (90 performances at Carignano Theater - 2020) and Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing (From July 6 to August 8 at Carignano Theater - 2021).
In 2022 I won the Main Prize of Score Relief 2022 Competition.
“The Best is Yet To Come…”
During my teenage years rock n roll was my only faith but now I’ve opened my mind to all kinds of musical genres and styles. This allows me to collaborate on any requested job, take on any new project as a challenge, and work hard to reach the highest level of professionalism.
